Acer T230H Touch Screen Monitor

I purchased Acer T230H from an Amazon rival simply because I required it rapidly and it wasn't available. Obviously, I paid out more for both the product and delivery. Now, I see that it is again available on Amazon with significant discount.

Pros:
1) In the time of acquisition, the Acer T230H was the one of the largest multi-touch screens readily available. I think still is.

2) It reveals the multitouch features of virtually any Windows 7 laptop or desktop computer.

3) This may be transferred from pc to pc when needed. We now have examined it on both laptop computers and desktops running Windows 7 and it works perfectly.

Cons:
1) I was unable to finish the calibration program during setup. I had difficulty getting the T230H to identify the lower left calibration corners making use of a stylus from a Windows XP Tablet computer. I terminated calibration and used the default configurations. The T230H scans the lower left corners good with its factory settings making this truly no problem.

2) The device is a lot more costly than a standard 1920x1080 display. I'm certain it will drop in price as more distributors carry it.

Apple iPad vs Amazon Kindle

Apple has surely plans to put its hands on Kindle dominated e-book reader market. Steve Jobs himself stated this during the famous iPad conference. iPad looks great with latest touch technology but lacks the sophistication to be the next Amazon Kindle. On the other hand, current iPad helped to bring awareness to evolve into more advanced devices for ebook reading.

The main difference between iPad and Amazon Kindle is Ink technology. While iPad doesn't actually provide it, Amazon Kindle tries to give natural book reading experience. We can conclude that Kindle is for more enthusiastic book readers, bookworms.

iPad, as a lightweight tablet with 9.7 inch touchscreen display still good for browsing Internet, watch movies if we ignore that it currently doesn't support Flash technology which is a serious lack. iPad follows the Apple's traditional price policy. Huge overpriced release, then step by step normalizing the price.

Currently, it is better to think that iPad is for casual fast reading like magazines. Overall, the price difference between Amazon Kindle and Apple iPad tablet is not much. If you aim to get more functionality except book reading, iPad can be a better choice for you.
